Exploring the Heart of Japan & Korea — One Story at a Time
1. Mission Statement
At Seeokyo, our mission is to bring you the latest news, travel discoveries, and cultural deep-dives from Japan and Korea — with authenticity, clarity, and personal passion.
2. Our Story
Hi, I’m Pako Motswana, the voice behind Seeokyo.
My obsession with Japan began in my teens — anime, manga, and a longing to feel the buzz of Tokyo’s alleyways. Soon after, I discovered Korea — its food, K-pop, and ancient traditions pulled me in, too.
This blog was born when I realized these two vibrant cultures are connected in ways most visitors never see: shared festivals, street food parallels, and pop-culture crossovers.
3. What Makes Us Different
- News with Insight — We don’t just repost headlines; we unpack visa updates, travel policies, K-pop/K-drama trends, and cultural shifts.
- Travel & Culture — From undiscovered temples to Seoul street carts, we personally visit and document.
- Balanced Focus — Equally dedicated to both Japan and Korea, with thoughtful comparisons and stories that highlight their unique charms.
4. Meet the Author
Pako Motswana, Founder & Writer
Hi, I’m Pako Motswana — the curious mind behind Japan Korea Insight.
I haven’t traveled to Japan or Korea yet, but I’ve spent years immersed in their languages, cultures, history, and media — from watching K-dramas and anime to reading about social trends and travel updates.
My dream is to visit both countries soon, and this blog is part of that journey. I research daily, follow local news, and connect with real stories that matter to fans, travelers, and culture lovers like you.
Until then, I’m building this platform to share what I’ve learned, discover more, and eventually take you with me (virtually) when I finally set foot in Tokyo and Seoul.
