The event gathered PD Kim Jin, Jang Yoon-jung, Jo Hye-ryun, Son Tae-jin, and Oh My Girl’s Hyojung, hinting at a powerful mix of emotion and music.
Unlike typical competition or audition shows, “Unforgettable Duet” follows a profoundly moving concept a contestant who has lost their memory due to dementia performing a duet with someone who still remembers them. Each performance is more than a song; it’s a moment of reconnection and healing, bridging the gap between fading memories and heartfelt emotions.
Jang Yoon-jung explained her decision to become the MC with sincerity: “Because the ‘Memory Singer’ faces such difficult circumstances, I felt I had to support and encourage them. I wanted to be an MC who could help carry that emotional weight.”
The singer admitted that the experience wasn’t easy, calling it one of the most challenging projects she’s ever taken on. Yet, she smiled as she added, “It was so tough that if the pilot had become a regular show, I might have hesitated but now, I can truly say, this is one of the most rewarding programs I’ve ever done.”
