Actress Ji Hye-won has officially announced her role as a compelling villainess in the upcoming KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama, I Stole the First Night of the Male Lead, premiering June 11 at 9:50 PM (KST).
This new romance fantasy drama follows a modern-day college girl who finds herself in a novel’s world and spends the night with the story’s most obsessed male lead. Ji Hye-won takes on the role of Do Hwa-seon, the daughter of the Prime Minister and the core antagonist. Elegant yet dangerously ambitious, Do Hwa-seon sets her sights on male lead Gyeongseong-gun Il-beon (played by Ok Taecyeon), only to be challenged by Seo Hyun’s character, an unexpected rival from a minor role in the novel.
Ji Hye-won’s dual portrayal of innocence and icy charisma has already drawn attention in preview photos. Her expressive eyes, vibrant hanbok, and commanding presence create a unique blend of charm and tension. Sharing her thoughts, Ji said, “Do Hwa-seon isn’t just evil, she’s driven by survival and emotional complexity, which makes her both dangerous and deeply human.”
As Ji Hye-won tackles her first historical drama, expectations are high for her bold transformation into the ultimate “great villainess.”
Stay tuned for I Stole the First Night of the Male Lead airing June 11 on KBS 2TV.
