Joo Haknyeon Denies Contract Termination & Prostitution Rumors | Vows Legal Action

Former The Boyz member Joo Haknyeon breaks silence on Instagram, denying contract termination and illegal conduct. He pledges legal action against false media reports and seeks to reveal the truth.

Joo Haknyeon, has come forward to strongly deny rumors surrounding his departure and the alleged termination of his exclusive contract setting the record straight in an emotional Instagram post on the 20th.

“I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again I have never committed any illegal acts,” Joo wrote. “If anyone has evidence of prostitution, reveal it. Otherwise, stop dragging my name through the mud.”

The K-pop star made it clear he’s prepared to take civil and criminal legal action against reporters and media outlets spreading false or defamatory content. He firmly rejected claims that he willingly left the group or agreed to contract termination.

“I never agreed to terminate my exclusive contract,” he stated. “The agency is pushing a false narrative, claiming I violated the agreement when there’s no such clause justifying that.”

“They Told Me to Pay Over 2 Billion Won Or Leave”

In one of the most shocking revelations, Joo Haknyeon claimed his agency demanded over 2 billion won in damages and pressured him to walk away.

“They announced to the press that the termination was final even though I never accepted it,” he shared. “How can an agency that’s supposed to protect its artists treat someone this way just for being seen at a private event with a well-known person?”

Joo added that when he refused to comply, the agency unilaterally sent a certified letter, declaring his contract terminated and even threatened additional penalties.

“Honestly, it’s terrifying,” he admitted. “But if I stay silent, what happens to others who don’t have the means to fight back? What kind of message does that send?”

“This Fight Isn’t Just for Me”

Concluding his message with determination, Joo Haknyeon emphasized that he’s not backing down.

“I’m going all the way to uncover the truth,” he said. “If this fight gives even one person hope then that’s reason enough to keep going. I’m gaining courage every day.”

Why This Matters?

The entertainment industry often presents a polished front, but behind the scenes, power struggles like this can deeply affect artists’ careers and mental health. Joo Haknyeon’s stand adds a bold new chapter to the ongoing conversation around agency accountability and artist rights in K-pop.
