Uiju is ready to take center stage in a whole new way. The leader of HYBE’s global boy group &TEAM will officially debut as an MC on SBS’s popular music program “Inkigayo” on October 19, marking a milestone moment that signals &TEAM’s growing presence ahead of their Korean debut.
Speaking through her agency YX Labels, Uiju shared heartfelt excitement about her new role: “I’m honored and grateful to be hosting ‘Inkigayo.’ Since it’s a show that showcases amazing artists every week, I feel a great sense of responsibility. I’ll do my best to show a good side of myself to LUNÉ and all the viewers who have supported me.”
As the only Korean member and leader of &TEAM, Uiju will co-host alongside TWS’s Shin Yu and IVE’s Lee Seo. Fans are already buzzing about her bright, calming personality — qualities that are expected to bring warmth and chemistry to the trio. Her ability to connect with artists and audiences alike could make her one of “Inkigayo’s” standout MCs this season.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect. On October 28, &TEAM will release their first Korean mini-album “Back to Life,” officially stepping onto the K-pop stage. The group, which debuted in Japan in 2022 under HYBE Labels Japan, has already proven their global influence — their third single “Go in Blind” surpassed 1 million shipments, earning a Million Certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) as of July.
